BigHit Music officially revealed BTS member Jin’s imminent military conscription on Tuesday.
According to a statement on Weverse, Jin would “not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.”
They requested fans not to visit the spot because the entry ceremony is just for military men and their families.
“We ask you for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back,” added BigHit Music. “Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time.”
They did not provide the the date of Jin’s enrollment. In October, it was revealed that all members of BTS will shortly finish their necessary military duty, with the eldest member Jin being the first.
Jin made his formal solo debut with the tune “The Astronaut,” which he co-wrote with Coldplay. J-Hope and RM, two other members, have lately established solo ventures.
The members of BTS want to rejoin as a group around 2025. Kim Seok-jin, professionally known as Jin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and member of the boy band BTS. Kim collaborated with BTS on three solo singles, “Awake” in 2016, “Epiphany” in 2018, and “Moon” in 2020, all of which peaked on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart.
