The ticket sales for the Star Cinema film “An Inconvenient Love,” starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, have already surpassed P15 million.
Mico del Rosario, a Star Cinema marketing executive, announced the news on social media on November 27.
The film surpassed the P15-million mark only days after its November 23 release at over 160 cinemas nationwide, ushering in a new era of Star Cinema following the shutdown.
During the COVID ban, the ABS-CBN Films division resorted to digital releases, along with another DonBelle picture, “Love Is Color Blind,” as recently as December 2021.
Star Cinema staked heavily on Pangilinan and Mariano as its flagbearers for its theatrical revival, building on the duo’s breakout success.
“An Inconvenient Love” will be presented in 20 countries outside of the Philippines from November to December, with regular screenings set in Guam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Cambodia, where it will be translated in Khmer.
