Billy Crawford, a TV host and all-around performer, and his partner, Fauve Hautot, have been named grand champions for the 12th season of “Danse avec les stars,” the French version of “Dancing With The Stars.”
Crawford’s wife, Coleen Garcia, shared a photo of him holding the trophy with a special message on Instagram on Saturday.
Crawford and Hautot have emerged as season-long favorites. The duo did a contemporary performance with the song “L’Enfer de Stromae” for their last performance.
He received 53.5 percent of the public vote, while his main rival, 17-year-old French singer and “The Voice Kids France” 2018 fourth-place finisher Carla Lazzari, received 46.5 percent.
Crawford began his career as a child actor. He had a career in the United States, but he rose to prominence in France and other parts of Europe in the early 2000s following major chart successes for his songs “Trackin,” “You Didn’t Expect That,” “When You Think About Me,” and “Bright Lights.”
He returned to the Philippines in 2007 and hosted several TV shows.
