Martin apologized on his Instagram Story on November 1, 2022.

It reads: “I sincerely apologize if I offended some of you with my Halloween costume.

“I did not intend to create buzz for my personal gain nor exude that attitude of indifference towards the victims of the character I wore.

“My intention was to celebrate Halloween in a simple costume during an intimate party with family.

“If I have hurt anybody or have become insensitive, I sincerely apologize.

“Please trust that it was nothing intentional.

“It was just for the spirit of Halloween.

“Happy All Saints Day!”

Martin posted an Instagram Story dressed as Jeffrey Dahmer on October 31, 2022.

His aunt, GMA News anchor Connie Sison, also shared it, and it appears that they celebrated Halloween as a family.

However, Martin and Connie quickly removed their posts.

However, it was screenshotted and reposted on Twitter by some netizens.

Netizens criticized Martin’s costume as “insensitive,” particularly to those left behind by the victims.

One user tweeted: “Martin Del Rosario thinks he’s cool dressing as Jeffrey Dahmer, go act like a dumb insensitive human being!”
