JKN Global Group, a media and content conglomerate, announced this on Wednesday.
JKN CEO Anne Jakrajutatip paid $20 million, or approximately 1.17 billion pesos, for the Miss Universe title. On social networking sites, she confirmed the information.
According to GMA News, Anne Jakrajutatip expressed hope that Thailand might well host the Miss Universe pageant every three to four years. The acquisition, according to the Thai transgender business mogul, is a great chance to “evolve the brand.”
“I hope that this will serve as soft power for Thailand, and bring more tourists to our country,” Anne stated in a press statement.
