The actress Maricar Reyes reflected on the controversy she experienced in 2009 and claimed it was the worst time of her existence.

Maricar published a book on how she faced with her troubled past. Her image was ruined by the aforementioned controversy, according to her official website. The actress kept silent for a while.

Maricar wishes to relate her experience right away to support other devastated women who experienced the same thing. The actress emphasized that it is not a “tell-all” book, though.

Maricar Reyes concentrated on her difficult path and recovery time. She also wanted women to understand that they are not the only ones going through difficult times.

Maricar Reyes stated, “There is always hope and a way out of any dark situation.”

In writing this book, she stated, “It took a long time from 2009 to the start of when that thing happened to me publicly, until 2022. It took 12 years for me to write this book.”

Although it took her a while, the actress claimed that there was actually a process. She further encouraged everyone who was experiencing the same thing not to be too harsh on themselves. 

She remarked, “Kasi ako nga 12 years bago ako naging okay enough to really talk about it.”
