Bongbong Marcos Reacts To Leila De Lima’s Hostáge-Taking Incident

Following the hostage-taking incident involving imprisoned former senator Leila De Lima, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. responded.

In line with a prior article, Arnel Cabintoy and Idang Susukan, as well as slain hostage-taker Feliciano Sulayao Jr., attempted to escape from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

It happened at about 6:30 in the morning. October 9th, Sunday.

On Sunday, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said that De Lima might be sent to an another jail facility if she so chooses.

PBBM wrote on Twitter, “Following this morning’s incident at Camp Crame, I will be speaking to Senator De Lima to check on her condition and to ask if she wishes to be transferred to another detention center.”

Leila De Lima and the wounded police officer will both get the necessary medical and psychological assistance, the Palace said in a separate statement.

The PNP was further directed to “enforce all measures necessary to ensure that no act of violence in said facility and all other PNP detention centers shall happen again,” by the president, according to the statement.
