Belle Mariano, a Kapamilya actress, has become a favorite of brands in addition to being a sought-after actress.
Mariano was finally opened as the first-ever brand ambassador of global online clothing brand SHEIN in the Philippines following her success at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
Mariano graced the opening of SHEIN’s first pop-up store in the country on Thursday, as she was officially recognized as the brand’s new face.
Mariano, half of the new generational phenomenal love team DonBelle, learned about SHEIN during the pandemic, when everyone was forced to remain at home and couldn’t go shopping at malls.
“I’ve found out about SHEIN during the pandemic. And that time, I was really struggling to choose clothes and I think SHEIN gives me convenience. It’s such a reliable brand. What you get is really quality,” she said at the event.
She also hinted at the release of her campaign photos for the brand, which were styled by celebrity stylist Adrianne Concepcion.
“It was so fun. I can’t wait for you guys to see it. Sobrang grabe ‘yung outfits. Wala akong masabi,” she told her fans gathered at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Mariano believes that fashion is important because it allows her to express herself.
“For me kasi, when it comes to fashion, it is a statement… It’s how you express yourself. For me, that’s where I get my confidence — with what I wear,” she added.
During the pop-up store launch, SHEIN also enlisted the help of social media influencers such as Binibining Pilipinas queens and socialite-vlogger Small Laude. The public can visit the pop-up store until October 23.
However, Mariano is preparing to release her second film with on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan.
DonBelle will appear in “An Inconvenient Love,” a romance film that will mark Star Cinema’s return to theaters on November 23.
“An Inconvenient Love,” written by Enrico Santos and Daisy Cayanan, stars Mariano as Ayef, a convenience store worker who strives to be a professional animator in Singapore, and Pangilinan as Manny, a corporation heir who runs his own plant shop and secretively works as a social activist.
Ayef, determined to achieve her dream without distractions, strikes a deal with Manny to have a “contractual” romance that will end once she is scheduled to travel abroad.
