Toni Gonzaga’s move to AMBS 2 has been verified, according to a long-running rumor.
On Thursday night, September 1, 2022, she and her husband, Paul Soriano, signed a contract with the network owned by former Senator Manny Villar.
Toni was an ABS-CBN exclusive contract artist for a long time, but intrigues and disputes soured their previously pleasant relationship, so she transferred to AMBS.
Toni and Paul inked the contract at Mella Hotel, the Villars’ family-owned hotel in Las Pias.
The deal was signed by Senators Manny and Cynthia Cillar’s son, Manuel Paolo Villar of Prime Asset Ventures, AMBS’s parent firm, and AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino.
Paolo Villar’s comment on the Sorianos’ official admission to AMBS: “AMBS aims to redefine the broadcast media industry with quality TV programs and exciting entertainment shows that will focus on giving our viewers new TV experiences,”
Tolentino said, “We are happy about the partnership with Ms. Toni Gonzaga and Mr. Paul Soriano. Our team is raring to work with them to give our viewers awesome shows to always look forward to.”
Toni stated that what she is planning for her more in-depth and intriguing chat show would surprise the audience.
Toni praised AMBS management for Paul’s kind greeting to them in an Instagram picture on Friday, September 2.
“Thank you for the warm welcome AMBS. I’m so happy to be a part of your family! I’m so excited for our partnership and I can’t wait to share with you all what we have been working on in the coming days…”
Willie Revillame is the first well-known entertainer to sign an exclusive contract with AMBS 2 on July 15, 2022.
If pressed, he wanted to refer to the contract stars of the Villar family’s main media broadcast channel as “Kababayan.”
Toni and Paul, like Willie, are “compatriots.”
