The broadcaster was referring to Evangelista’s rumored relationship with an Italian guy, and the broadcaster referred to his source as a “Marites.” “Marites,” apparently a shortened version of the phrase “Mare, ano ang latest? “, is a slang term for people who regularly gossip about others.
