The Philippines may have a totally new lineup when it meets Saudi Arabia in the second game of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Monday.
“They may choose from the (pool of) 24 players,” Sonny Barrios, executive director and president of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, told reporters on Saturday night, just after the inauguration of the 2023 World Cup Countdown Clock at the Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City.
“But that will depend on the final say of the coaching staff,” he stated.
The Philippines will face Saudi Arabia at the Mall of Asia Arena on Monday at 7 p.m.
