Romy V. Suzara, the experienced filmmaker, is recognized for noteworthy films like as “Sarah Ang Munting Prinsesa,” “Medalyang Ginto,” and the biography of Lydia de Vega, “Cedie,” “Kokey,” and many more.
Suzara d!ed in the Philippine Heart Center at two p.m. due to complications from heart illness, according to Rez Cortez, the head of the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund).
Suzara is 83 years old, and she recently celebrated her birthday in July.
According to Cortez, who was one of the last persons to communicate Suzara, Suzara has already been in and out of the hospital in past years.
Suzara has previously worked with ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya on the restoration of Lorna Tolentino and her late spouse Rudy Fernandez’s 1980 film “Sa Init ng Apoy.”
Suzara has been regarded as a talented director since the 1970s, making a name for himself with films such as “Pepeng Shotgun” and “Bingbong Crisologo Story.”
In addition to “Mga Bilinggong Birhen” by Armida Siguion Reyna and Alma Moreno, he also directed “Mga Uod at Rosas” by Nora Aunor, Johnny Delgado, and Tolentino, and “Vilma and the Beep Beep Minica” with Vilma Santos.
