Dad Doug said in a YouTube vlog that he and Chesca Garcia chose the special watch to remind their eldest of the value of time.

“I think the most important thing [that] Mommy, I, and your siblings have shown you is how quality and quantity of time is so important,” he told Kendra.

“So as a symbol of time, [here] is a little reminder of how precious you are and how precious your time is.”

Doug also informed Kendra to accessorize her promise ring from when she was seven years old to remind her of the love and care she had received from him and Chesca.

“Don’t forget how Papa and Mama treat you, the love we show you. Don’t give away your love so easily, sweetheart, okay?”

Aside from the Rolex watch, Kendra obtained a bracelet and a signed Nayeon album from her sister Scarlett.
