Bela Padilla marked the one-year anniversary of her departure from the Philippines for Europe by sharing observations on her Instagram account about the events of the last year.
She stated that she left her comfort zone to travel to and reside in Europe, which she described as uncharted terrain for her.
“This time last year, I left my comfort zone. I flew to Europe with the intention of living in London by September 2021,” Bela posted.
The actress joyously revealed that she had done it, and to honor the passing of a year, she returned to Zurich, the place she first visited last year.
Using a metaphor, she also stated that she is no longer frightened of getting into frigid water, implying that Bela is no longer hesitant to attempt anything.
“And I did it. To commemorate the year that passed, I went back to the first place I landed in last year-Zurich. One year after and I’m not afraid to get into cold water anymore,” She said.
She recounted how, when asked what she does for a living, she laughs and says she is jobless.
“When I’m asked what I do for a living, I often joke that I’m jobless or that I’m on a sabbatical. But in the last year, I released my directorial debut 366, wrote two scripts that are now in preproduction, invested in things and people I believe in, started a business (@amberandaqua) with my friend, met amazing people who do what they love, I attended events I would only just see on social media, travelled to cities and countries I only imagined in our taping tents and have experienced life more than I ever have before,” Bela said.
The actress then added that after 15 years, she now feels like she’s discovering what it’s like to be herself.
I was discovered to be an actress at 16. Now 15 years later, I feel like I’m finally experiencing what it is truly like to be me, not my characters, just me. And I have such a great group of people around me constantly pushing me forward. I celebrate this move with an even more persistent drive, looking forward to what’s next. take this as your sign to go to unchartered territories and to really live your life!” Bela said.
