Even in the middle of the devastation, Filipinos can’t stop smiling since they joked that the earthquake was caused by Hidilyn Diaz and Julius Naranjo’s “honeymoon.” Abra netizens responded to a 7.3-magnitude earthquake that struck the country this morning on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, with its epicenter near Lagangilang, by making jokes regarding recently married weightlifters.

Hidilyn and Julius were married on July 26 at St. Ignatius Church in PMA Baguio. According to netizens, the two shook their heads, which was felt not only in the four corners of their hotel room in Baguio but also throughout the Philippines.
