Nadine Luster has been picky about the roles she accepts since she started making movies again at Viva Films.

She really enjoyed the narrative, so when Direk Mikhail Red gave her “Deleter,” she accepted it right away.

Nadine cited director Mikhail and the movie’s plot as the two reasons why she supported “Deleter.”

“Ayaw ko po kasi ‘yung jump scare lang tapos nakakatakot lang.  Sobrang nae-enjoy ko kapag ‘yung pelikula mayroong back story o malalim na kuwento.

“Yung isa rin kasi sa mga favorite movie ko na psychological horror merong after effect, so, ‘yung mga pelikulang after ilang days kong panoorin merong kang iisipin.

“Kaya after kong panoorin ‘yung favorite kong film lumilingon ako kung may tao kasi merong ganu’n ending sa film,” Nadine said.

When questioned whether the actress preferred mainstream or unconventional films, “I guess I will always go for both kasi pag paulit-ulit ‘yung genre ng ginagawa mo medyo nakakasawa na, sobrang redundant na rin saka hindi na challenging kasi alam ko na ang gagawin ko na ganito o ganyan lang ‘yan.

“So, I always choose projects that are challenging kasi I want to challenge myself. Gusto ko po kasi ‘yung nahihirapan ako. Gusto ko po ‘yung nasa labas ako ng comfort zone ko kasi I know that, that’s growth, eh.

“You’re given the chance to try different roles, different kinds of films and for me po kasi at the end of the day I feel like more than doing it for the fans, I’m doing it for myself.  Iba po kasi ‘yung feeling na I guess proud ka sa ginawa mo after mong panoorin ‘yung pelikula,” Nadine explained.

Dalawa, ‘yung It Follows (2014 supernatural psychological film), ito ‘yung film na after kong mapanood lagi akong lumilingon, tsine-tsek ko kung may sumusunod sa akin

“Yung isa po sobra sa hype, ‘yung Conjuring high school yata o college ko napanood ang ganda ng marketing no’n kasi paglabas mo ng sinehan may pari na nagbabasbas sa ‘yo. Ha-hahaha!

“May eksena rin kasi na bumubukas ‘yung cabinet tapos may pumalakpak kasi na-experience ko po ‘yun after ko panoorin ‘yung pelikula after a couple of days.

“Naglilinis ako ng kuwarto tapos ‘yung cabinet ko biglang bumukas mag-isa after three seconds tumakbo ako palabas. ‘Yun po ang pinakatumatak sa akin,” Nadine said.

Although the actress acknowledged being afraid, she enjoys watching horror movies, “Gusto ko pong tinatakot ang sarili ko.”

“Most of the time po ang kasama kong manood ay either ‘yung brother ko or friends. Pag friends po masayang manood kasi nagdyo-joke kami niloloko namin ang film, enjoy lang. Siguro kasi born (October 31) on Halloween kaya mahilig ako sa horror films.” She added.

With the help of Mccoy de Leon and Louise delos Reyes, Nadine will begin filming “Deleter” for Viva Films under the writing and directing of Mikhail Red. They want to attend the film’s raucous premiere.
