Kim Hyun-joong, a South Korean actor and singer, and his non-showbiz wife are expecting a kid, his agency Henecia said on Thursday, July 21.

“Kim Hyun-joong is currently awaiting a new life with cautious gratitude and excitement. We ask for your sincere blessings and support so that he can protect this precious life,” Soompi quoted Henecia’s remark as translated. The baby’s due date has not yet been determined.

The pair were married earlier this year. On February 27, the 36-year-old Boys Over Flowers artist announced his nuptials during his What I Want To Say concert at the Gurumare Theater. Kim Hyun-joong declared between performances that he had resolved to “spend the rest of his life” with a special someone.

His management promised fans that the singer would continue to release new tracks and promote himself.

Kim Hyun-joong debuted as a K-pop idol in 2005 with the group SS501. He then began acting and rose to prominence for his parts in the 2009 series Boys Over Flowers and the 2010 series Playful Kiss.
