Many internet users have speculated about a possible collaboration between James Reid’s record label Careless Music and the South Korean agency Starship Entertainment.
Careless Music CEO Jeffrey Oh paid a visit to Starship Entertainment with Liza Soberano and Careless Music President Reid on Monday, as seen on the latter’s Instagram Story.
Oh’s post was captioned “Careless X Starship,” with no further information about the meeting. Careless Music shared the same photo on its Instagram page without providing any context.
Furthermore, Aria Group International’s Mark Mariano shared a different post on his Instagram Story yesterday, tagging Reid, GOT7’s BamBam, and Korean artist Junwoo Yoon.
“Let’s go in,” Mariano said.
As of this writing, it is unknown whether the three artists are also working on a project together.
Reid is not only the founder of Careless Music, but he is also an artist managed by Transparent Arts, a US-based agency that promotes Asian-American talent.
Soberano made headlines last month when she was named to Reid’s management team.
Soberano said of Reid, her manager, “It’s strange because he’s my contemporary. I’ve always thought of him as a co-actor or co-artist of some sort, so whenever we work together, it’s as if I’m not taking him seriously, but he has a lot to offer.
“He has a great perspective on how to like go about things, where to check my career, and everything so I respect him for doing the research and everything. We’re trying to understand what it is that I’m on and how I want to express it.”
