Are there plans for Sharon Cuneta to leave “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”?
When her character, Aurora, was shot and became comatose on Tuesday, viewers of the renowned television series wondered why.
In the ABS-CBN broadcast from July 12, Aurora and Lolita engaged in gunfire and physical combat (Rosanna Roces). Prior to Armando (John Estrada) arriving and shooting Aurora in the back during their physical battle, Aurora had the upper hand over Lolita.
A bleeding Aurora begs Oscar (Rowell Santiago) to pursue justice for their daughter’s apparent murder in the preview for the episode airing on July 13.
As part of Task Force Agila, Aurora stormed the offices of Armando and Lolita, two of her former pals who had reportedly killed Mara (Julia Montes) in their own vengeance scheme.
After Mara was ordered killed by Armando and Lolita, who had groomed Mara as an assassin with the ultimate goal of killing her own grandpa, Ignacio, she just learned that Mara was her daughter (Tommy Abuel).
The newborn death of Armando and Lolita’s child, one of many victims when Ignacio’s soldiers assaulted a fishing town where Aurora had escaped from her domineering father, has long been attributed to Aurora and Oscar.
Oscar and Armando engaged in a battle to the death in the episode that aired on Tuesday. The latter, however, managed to get away and eventually found Lolita, where he shot Aurora.
In November 2021, the characters of Cuneta, Montes, Estrada, and Roces were introduced in “Ang Probinsyano,” beginning a new chapter in Cardo (Coco Martinongoing )’s fight for justice.
Aside from Aurora, two other significant characters — Delfin (Jaime Fabregas) and Lucas (Joseph Marco) — seemed to have passed away in the previous week alone during the same confrontation between Cardo’s Agila and Armando’s gang.
“Ang Probinsyano” may be seen on the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5, CineMo, and iWantTFC, and is already approaching its eighth year of broadcast.
