Cristy Fermin gave a reported update she received regarding Jake Zyrus, formerly known as Charice Pempengco, on the newest edition of “Showbiz Now Na.”

According to the senior entertainment columnist’s sources who have lived in the US for decades, Jake normally sings at modest public places in America.

“Ang balita naman ng mga kababayan natin na ilang dekada nang naninirahan sa America, si Charice daw ay nagpe-perform sa maliliit na mga pub houses, bar, ganu’n. Kasi nga, wala naman talagang kumukuha sa kanya e, ‘di ba?” Christy said.

Cristy’s co-host Romel Chika then said, “Samantalang kakapanood ko lang ng YouTube, mga audi-audition niyang pinapalakpakan siya ng bonggang-bongga.”

Nanay Cristy couldn’t help but think back to Jake’s performances when he was still Charice.

“Sus, ako nga paulit-ulit ko ‘yung kay Ophra, kay Ellen DeGeneres, hanggang sa inalagaan na siya ni nu’ng producer. Ang dami niyang nakadwelo, pati kay Celine Dion, isinama pa siya. Sinayang ni Charice ‘yon,” Christy said.
