Bela Padilla, the multi-hyphenate Filipino celebrity, is set to direct a new film in Switzerland.

Bela is a screenwriter as well as an actress. She decided to make her directorial debut last year with 366, a film she started writing. Bela previously stated that she was not supposed to be acting in the film she directed and wrote.

The actress stated that she would want Liza Soberano to play the lead role in the film, but due to a scheduling conflict, this did not come to pass. Bela Padilla acted and directed this at the same time.

According to the news piece in Pang-Masa, Bela will just sit behind the camera for her second directorial work.

“Actually, may isho-shoot akong movie sa Switzerland this winter, pero with Pinoy cast and crew pa rin, so right now, we’re in the process of casting, finalizing kung sino pa yung mga kasama namin,” she revealed. She is also looking forward to her encounter as a director.

Meanwhile, Bela has participated in a number of TFC (The Filipino Channel) activities in Norway and France.

She stated that she came to the realization that wherever she ends up going, as long as there are Filipinos, she will feel at home.

Living in Europe stimulates Bela Padilla’s artistic side, allowing her to become more fruitful when it comes to writing stories.

“I guess because I’m in a new environment right now, I’m very inspired to keep writing and creating,” she explained. She also had the opportunity to encounter her kababayans in Europe through TFC activities.
