Members of the K-pop girl group Red Velvet returned to Manila on Thursday, the night before their advocacy concert “Be You,” including local talents, three years after their previous musical performance for Filipino ReVeluv.
According to airport cameras, Red Velvet’s Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri were accompanied by strict security at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1’s arrival area. (The videos below have been shared with permission.)
The band members waved to bystanders and fans inside the terminal. Meanwhile, Filipino ReVeluv, or devoted followers of the “Pyscho” hitmaker, gathered outside the airport’s arrival exit to catch a glimpse of their idols.
Red Velvet returned to Manila the night before their scheduled Friday concert at the Mall of Asia Arena. “Be You,” billed as a special advocacy performance, aims to raise mental health awareness among people with special needs.
P-pop groups BINI and BGYO, as well as dancer Lady Pipay, will perform with Red Velvet.
The SM Entertainment group previously played in the Philippines for “Best of the Best” in April 2015 and for the K-Pop Music Festival in June 2019.
