Zendaya took to Instagram to put a stop to speculations that she was pregnant with her boyfriend and “Spider-Man” co-star Tom Holland’s kid.
“See now, this is why I stay off Twitter…” and “Just making stuff up for no reason… weekly,” Zendaya said in a blacked-out Instagram story.
She was reacting to the hashtag “Zendaya pregnant” circulating on Twitter as a consequence of viral TikTok videos alleging the actress was expecting a kid.
The videos included a sonogram image that appeared to have been uploaded on Zendaya’s Instagram account, as well as another photo of the “Euphoria” star with Holland that had been modified to look like she had a baby belly.
Most of the videos had the hashtag #joke linked to them and finished with Kris Jenner’s “Krissed” meme to indicate the video was fraudulent and a joke, but it clearly did not resonate with many people, notably Zendaya herself.
Zendaya responded with another blacked-out Instagram post, this time with text and a photo indicating that she will return to filming “Challengers,” the forthcoming sports drama in which she co-stars with “The Crown” star Josh O’Connor and “West Side Story” actor Mike Faist.
Zendaya celebrated Holland’s 26th birthday earlier this month by uploading a black-and-white photo of them on Instagram, the first time she had ever done so.
