Kean Cipriano stated something about his longtime band “Callalily,” and to the shock of the band’s fans, Callalily, the band of actor-singer Kean Cipriano, who produced the songs “Magbalik,” “Ex,” and “Pansamantala.”

The OPM musician and music producer confessed that the group hasn’t been doing well for a long time and that he has to start something different. Kean is the chairman and CEO of the record label that his wife, Chynna Ortaleza, created.

Callalilly was formerly managed by OC Records Philippines, which has now been managing recording artists for four years.

“Before yeah, and when the band was still together.

Yeah, Callalily is done. Callalily is done. I’m moving on, I’ve move on, moving forward and I wish them all the best. “

“I believed we’re not in a fairy tale world. I mean we’re okay na parang…” Kean said of his former band’s parting.

“I think in a group, magkakasama kayo for 17 years, marami na rin nangyari and I don’t think medyo matagal na rin kaming hindi okay so, alam mo ‘yun parang ibang chapter naman for us,” Kean added.

This is Kean’s response when questioned about Callalily’s next vocalist, who will be known as “The Lily” today.

“I hope they find it, kung sino man. I mean you know I wish them really all the best, ‘di ba like I said, Callalilly is done and kung ano man ang gusto nilang dalhin.

“”I mean, yun naman talaga ang point nito, ‘di ba, na in 10 years babalikan naming lahat and papasalamatan namin ang isa’t isa and that was a good call, di ba? ‘Yung growth natin, iba na siya ngayon, I wish them well,”  revealed the singer-songwriter in the same conversation.

Is it still conceivable for their band to hold a reunion concert at a suitable time? “”Hindi na magbabalik ang dating Callalily,” Kean answered.

“So ako rin, nasa ibang phase na ako ng buhay ko and I have a lot of things to do now, I am focusing with OC records. May tiwala sa akin ang mga artists ko and I think that I need to do my job better and do better for this,” he explained.
