Megan Young and Mikael Daez, a celebrity couple, may be happy in their marriage, but they confess that they might have begun living better even before the COVID-19 epidemic occurred.
Megan and Mikael spoke during the official launch of immunity brand Redoxon in the Philippines on what they learnt from adopting a healthier lifestyle, notably about dealing with stress.
Mikael said, “When I was younger, I didn’t see the value in taking a break, to reflect on what just happened,”
“I wish I had more patience and time to decompress.”
Megan mirrored her husband’s sentiments, noting that she wished she had relished more moments in the past, “That’s what I’m doing now, these are the people and things I enjoy being with and doing.”
Nonetheless, the pair realized that dealing with stress is a type of collaboration.
Mikael revealed that Megan frequently reminds him, “Fofo” (Megan’s pet name for the host), you need to stand away and simply breathe, “which he then tells her anytime she is agitated.”
“It’s when I reach that [stress] point that he sets me aside, we analyze the situation and think,” Megan said.
The pair discussed at the event the types of exercises they conducted throughout the epidemic to avoid falling into an unhealthy trap. To begin, Mikael stated that he attempted to transition to a diet of fish and vegetables.
Meanwhile, Megan added that they sought for things that would drive them to exercise, such as high-intensity interval training videos on YouTube and interactive videogames, and that when motivation begins to wane, they strive to re-energize their desire to exercise and be healthy.
