On last Father’s Day, veteran actor Dennis Padilla expressed his disappointment that his kids had forgotten to greet him, and here’s Leon Barretto’s response.
Dennis posts a picture of his son with his previous lover, Marjorie Barretto. “Leon… You forgot to greet me last sunday … hehe… Love you ingat… [praying hands, heart emojis]” he said in the post.
The veteran actor uploaded a photograph of Claudia and Julia Barretto, who both failed to greet him. Leon Barretto responded to the popular post regarding his father a week after the rest of the world celebrated Father’s Day.
Leon stated that he has been considering whether or not to respond to his father and whether this is the best approach to do so. According to the 19-year-old, his father reportedly relies on social media to communicate with them.
He also stated that it has been challenging for them since they are unsure of their place in their father’s life.
“It’s always been an awkward day for us cause we never seem to know where we stand with you every year. I’ve always envied people who never even have to think twice about greeting their dads a ‘Happy father’s Day,” Leon remarked.
Julia and Claudia’s brother also stated that for the past ten years, he and his siblings have already been attempting to reconstruct the bridge that their father continues burning.
“We have been trying so hard to slowly rebuild the bridge you continuously burn every time you talk about our private matters in your press cons, interviews, and social media,” he added.
Leon Barretto further stated that Dennis Padilla’s unexplained postings against him and his siblings are making them look bad in the eyes of the public.
“Do you think it does not pain all of us not to feel protected by their own father?” he continued.
Leon also emphasized that they don’t want to communicate to their father because of the terrible things he says to them when they are attempting to settle issues.
“I need you to know that I want nothing else but to move forward in the safest and healthiest manner possible. I want peace, papa,” Leon wrote.
