The financial assistance would be sent to 12.4 million poor households, includes Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program participants and public pension claimants, according to DSWD spokeswoman Irene Dumlao.

“Inaasahan na itong P500 per month na subsidy ay maumpisahan bago magtapos ang termino ni Pangulong Duterte,” Dumlao said during a televised briefing. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Thursday that the P500 subsidy for low-income households in the philippines will be available by the end of the month.

Duterte has 21 days remaining in office until his presidential term expires on June 30.
He also ordered the monthly allowance for low-income families to be released, which he had even enhanced from P200 to P500 per month launched in March.

When asked what is causing the delay, Dumlao stated that suitable paperwork is still being prepared for release.
