Diego Loyzaga expressed his delight at being cast as President-elect Bongbong Marcos in Darryl Yap’s Maid in Malacanang.
The controversial director has begun releasing the cast members of the film portraying the last 72 hours of the Marcoses in the Palace that he presented to Viva Films. The actress who would play the matriarch of the powerful political dynasty was initially unveiled by director Darryl.
Ruffa Gutierrez will play Imelda Marcos on the big screen. After this, it was confirmed that award-winning actor Cesar Montano will play previous President Ferdinand Marcos, while his son Diego Loyzaga will play Bongbong Marcos, the incoming President.
Diego was one among the UniTeam fans in attendance at the BBM camp’s Independence Day celebration. On his social media pages, the actor posted images from the ceremony.
He also released a video of himself giving a speech. Diego stated that he had been looking forward to the chance to express his solidarity with the Marcos family, and that he was able to do so.
He is overjoyed to now get the opportunity to play BBM in the film.
“Salamat sa Diyos binigyan Niya ako ng oportunidad na gampanan si Presidente Bongbong Marcos sa isang role, sa isang pelikula. So, I’m happy, I’m thankful to be part of this family. Tawagin niyo na rin po akong loyalist po,” Diego remarked.

Furthermore, director Darryl Yap has disclosed additional cast members for the film. He uploaded a picture portraying Queen Mother Karla Estrada as Yaya Santa, veteran actress Elizabeth Oropesa as Manang Lucy, and veteran comedienne Beverly Salviejo as Biday.
