In a discussion with Karen Davila, the former child star claimed that he and his partner, EJ Laure, nearly got an @bort!on.

Bugoy was purportedly removed from the show because he allegedly got his girlfriend, EJ, pregnant, according to speculations at the time. At the moment, he was 16 years old.

Bugoy, 19, rose to prominence after winning the ABS-CBN talent competition Star Circle Kid Quest in 2009.

Following his period on SCKQ, he worked on many Kapamilya Network productions, including the title role in the 2012 primetime series E-Boy.

Star Magic transformed his look into a youthful adolescent heartthrob in 2017. Then he joined the It’s Showtime boy group Hashtags.

Bugoy’s allegedly rising career came to a standstill in December 2017, when he suddenly disappeared from It’s Showtime.

EJ, now 24, was a notable volleyball player for the UST Golden Tigresses. She was named Rookie of the Year for the UAAP Season 77 in 2014. She joined the Foton Tornadoes of the Philippine Super Liga in 2016.

Because of a “chronic shoulder injury,” EJ was unable to participate in UAAP Season 82 in 2017.

As a result of her absence from volleyball, speculations began to circulate that she was pregnant. She was 21 years old at the time.

Bugoy and EJ eventually revealed to having a kid called Scarlet on September 3, 2020. Bugoy’s 18th birthday was the occasion for the revelation.

In a conversation with Karen Davila two years later, Bugoy Cario discussed his journey as a first-time parent at the age of 16.

He also talked about how he and EJ felt when she became pregnant.

It was tough for him to be a parent at the age of 16. His career as an adolescent actor was on the rise at the moment. He even appeared in the Spirits remake.

Unfortunately, it appears that he lost everything when he became a father.

Bugoy also revealed that he and EJ considered getting an @bort!on in order to protect their respective careers.
