Tony Labrusca, a Kapamilya heartthrob actor, exclaimed, “JUSTICE IS SERVED!” when the court dropped the case against him for acts of lasciviousness.
When the Makati prosecutor’s office released a ruling about the aforementioned complaint, brought by a group in 2021 that he battled with a party, the actor felt vindicated.
Judge Xavier Paolo del Castillo issued his judgement in the case on March 17, which Tony’s legal counsel, Atty. Joji Alonso, via his Twitter account.
“The charge imputed against him was found to have no basis. After observance of due process, Tony Labrusca has been cleared of profoundly damaging judgments that has tarnished his name,” the lawyer and film producer stated.
We got up with Tony at his latest project’s face-to-face mediacon, the original Vivamax film “Breathe Again,” in which he will collaborate with beauty queen-actress Ariella Arida. In this case, the press linked the title of his film to all the trouble he had in his private life.
“Happy ako na nakaka-move on ako, nakakahinga na uli, literally. I’m just grateful. Wala naman akong ginawang masama. Mabuti akong tao,” said the actor.
“I am just glad that I’m back here after an extended stay in the United States,” added the young man who had just returned to the Philippines from America where he finished a Hollywood film.
That’s the star of singer-actress KC Concepcion’s “Asian Persuasion,” which is currently being filmed in America and is the directorial debut of three-time Tony award and Grammy-winning producer Jhett Tolentino.
“Kailangang mag-ingat dahil may masasamang tao talaga sa paligid mo. Napakahirap talaga magtiwala ngayon,” he replied when asked what he learnt from the case.
