The son of sitting senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa resorted to social media to express his displeasure with the arrest of broadcaster Ramon “Mon” Tulfo.
Rock Dela Rosa made news in 2017 after an article published in the Philippine Star by Mon Tulfo stated that the senator’s son was enjoying VIP treatment at the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) due to his father’s connections.
Tulfo wonders why the younger Dela Rosa was never disciplined by upper-class cadets, tactical officers, or PNPA professors.
He further alleged that Rock would leave his house or the Special Action Force (SAF) camp every night and return early in the morning.
He also referred to Sen. Bato, a former PNP chief, as a “clown.”
Tulfo was detained on May 18 as a result of a cyber libel action filed against him by former DOJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre.
Rock Dela Rosa, the son of Senator Bato, was among those who responded to his detention.
He proceeded to the social networking site Facebook and shared a report on Tulfo’s arrest.
“Tagam! Gawan mo pa ako ng kwento hahaha…,” he captioned his image.
As expected, it generated mixed reactions and comments. One of the netizens wrote: “Buti nga na aresto ang mayabang.”
