The Facebook group “CDN Digital” released security camera footage of a traffic enforcer who was hit by a large vehicle while directing traffic at an intersection.

The footage received a lot of comments from the internet community. The video of a pickup vehicle accidently hitting a traffic enforcer at a crossroads in Balamban town, western Cebu, has gotten attention. The video shows road staff directing traffic at a crossroads in front of St. Francis de Assisi Church in Brgy. Baliwagan.

Everything appeared to be okay when that unusual occurred. Jovey Ramos, a traffic officer, was hit by a gray pickup truck by carelessness. The event caused bodily damage to the 37-year-old victim in various places of his body. He was transported to the Balamban Provincial Hospital for emergency medical attention. The pickup owner, Bernardo Gorgonio Ricafort, is being held at the Balamban Police Station. Police are planning charges to be brought towards the accused. The officer presented the findings of the preliminary inquiry, which revealed that the vehicle was scheduled to make a left turn when he accidently sideswiped the traffic enforcer. The victim sustained severe physical damage.
