The romantic comedy series led all five other K-dramas included in this week’s Top 10, demonstrating the global popularity of Korean productions. “Business Proposal,” based on a popular webtoon, is also the third most-watched series in the world this week, with over 32 million viewed hours, after only the two seasons of “Bridgerton.”
This week, the program ranked first in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, and second in India and Sri Lanka. The conclusion of “Business Proposal” elicited tremendous fan responses across social media platforms, captivating the hearts of worldwide viewers with its thrilling romance, fast-paced plot, and appealing ensemble cast.
Korean dramas’ ongoing success extends beyond romantic comedies, with a variety of genres such as the zombie thriller “All Of Us Are Dead” and the youth-crime drama “Juvenile Justice,” both of which debuted at No. 1 in the Non-English Series Top 10 this year.
“All Of Us Are Dead,” that aired on Netflix in January 2022, is becoming the third most-watched non-English series ever made. “Business Proposal” (No. 1), “Twenty Five Twenty One” (No. 2), “Forecasting Love & Weather” (No. 4), “Thirty-Nine” (No. 5), “All Of Us Are Dead” (No. 7) and “Juvenile Justice” (No. 10) are the six Korean series in this week’s Top 10.
