The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, also known as Republic Act No. 9165, is a consolidation of Senate Bill No. 1858 and House Bill No. 4433. The Philippine Senate and House of Representatives implemented and passed it on May 30, 2002 and May 29, 2002, respectively. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed it into law on June 7, 2002.

Thousands of dollars of shabu were confiscated this Sunday from two guys who reportedly peddled narcotics in the town of Atimonan, Quezon.

The suspects were caught with P170,000 in shabu,.45 and 9 mm caliber firearms, ammo, and P120,000 in cash.

The suspects, alias Ferdinand, 38, and Arboy, 31, are notorious shabu sellers in their region, according to the police report.
