Miley Cyrus’ airplane to Paraguay was hit by lightning after being caught in a severe unexpected storm.

On Instagram, the American singer-songwriter posted a video of a lightning strike seen through one of the plane’s windows. Miley was on her way to Asunciónico, a music event in Paraguay.

The singer is presently on a three-show tour of South America, her first visit to the continent in over seven years. She will still appear at Lollapalooza Brasil on March 26 in So Paulo, Brazil.

Machine Gun Kelly, another American musician, was also unable to perform at Asunciónico because to inclement weather, but he refused to be deterred. Kelly performed an impromptu concert outside his hotel room, and he posted a video of hundreds of admirers singing along.

“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción,” she wrote in the caption of her post.

“Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lightning,” she added.
