According to reports, Dee surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation in Quezon City yesterday, Jan. 31, after agents failed to serve his arrest warrant on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at his purported address in Cubao, Quezon City. According to Dee’s now-deleted tweet from August 14, 2021, Bautista filed a complaint against Dee after he allegedly claimed that the money spent for her “opulent” wedding in July came from the party list’s budget. According to a Nov. 16 resolution, Bautista also filed a complaint against celebrities Ogie Diaz, Agot Isidro, and Pokwang (Marietta Subong-O’Brian), all of whom expressed their opinions.

The actor denied that he was nowhere to be located when officials were due to serve the arrest warrant. “Contrary to certain media allegations, Enchong Dee has been attending to his professional and personal duties in the last couple of days and has not attempted to escape arrest,” his legal counsel said. The statement also stated that the actor will take “appropriate and necessary proper proceedings to defend himself.” Enchong Dee wrote this post: “Gong Xi Fa Cai (red, green, blue love emojis)” This translates to “wishing you to increase your wealth.”

Several Kapamilya celebrities, including Cherry Pie Picache , Ria Atayde , Erich Gonzales, and Angel Locsin , expressed their support for Enchong in the comments area.
