Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez will support his wife Lucy Torre Gomez if she decides to run in the national election as Senator. In an interview with Goma of the Manila Bulletin, the actor-politician said that Lucy, who is currently congresswoman of the 4th District of Leyte, may run for a higher seat.

But to clarify this, they are just thinking about it. “What she wants is where she could serve best. We’re still thinking about it and I am just here to support whatever her decision is,” ani Goma sa panayam. “Kung maganda ‘yung survey niya at susuportahan siya ng buong Region 8 o ng Visayan Region malaking bagay,” Richard said.

Meanwhile, when asked by the mayor if he himself has any plans to run for a higher position, Goma said he wants to focus on Ormoc first.

“For now it is not in my plans. Kailangan ko muna ayusin ‘tong Ormoc at ‘yung district namin so dito muna ako magfofocus,” Richard said.

According to Congresswoman Lucy, “Only God knows, only time will tell …For now, I have a job to do as Representative of the 4th District of Leyte”
