As of April 26, the total number of COVID-19 victims in the Philippines has reached 1,006,428. This is still very alarming especially and for more than a month no less than 7,000 new cases were recorded every day.
According to the Department of Health, 95.4% of new cases today are mild cases and 1.4% are asymptomatic cases. 1.3% were severe, 1.0% were in critical condition and 0.87% were in moderate condition.
Currently, there are 74,623 active COVID-19 cases in the country.
Meanwhile, despite the 11,333 recovered today, there are still 70 recorded deaths.
Since the second week of March, the number of new COVID-19 cases recorded in the Philippines has dropped to less than 4,000 per day. It has worsened entering April to the present.
The DOH stated, “Ngayong 4 PM, Abril 26, 2021, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 8,929 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 11,333 na gumaling at 70 na pumanaw. Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 7.4% (74,623) ang aktibong kaso, 90.9% (914,952) na ang gumaling, at 1.67% (16,853) ang namatay.”
