Tim Yap is one of the trending topics on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

The Department of Tourism Cordillera Administrative Region (DOT-CAR) explains the management of an establishment in Baguio City where the birthday celebration of eventologist Tim Yap was held.

Tim celebrated his 44th birthday on January 17, 2021.

The statement issued today by DOT-CAR states that it is investigating the incident and they have already sent a letter to the relevant authorities.

“The DOT Cordillera Administrative Region ( DOT-CAR) is currently investigating the reporter party at a DOT-accredited accommodation establishment in Baguio City. A Notice to Explain has already been issued to the establishment,” part of the official statement of DOT-CAR.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong, who admittedly attended the controversial birthday party of Tim Yap, assured the TV host that he will consider his contributions in promoting Baguio City in the investigation into the party.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said on Wednesday he will be considering Tim Yap’s contributions to the city in the ongoing investigation into the alleged quarantine protocol violations during the celebrity host’s birthday party.

“Don’t you worry about it. Your contributions to Baguio City, promoting, you’ve been saying good words about Baguio, the help that you’ve extended to our artists- were considering all of this.”
