An eight-year-old boy from Davao City, accidentally spent his parent’s money on their bank account for mobile games.
“THAT MOMENT WHEN OUR SON SPENT AT LEAST P40,000 ON MOBILE GAMES!!!” she started.
According to Julmar Grace Locsin, his mother, “Tabang Lord! Haha. So this happened to us. One of the twins unknowingly purchased mobile games and spent at least P40k in just 2 days! Good that I was able to track bank statements for our finance team today or else we could have spent more without any clue.”
“Hubby’s account is connected with Google Play because we sometimes rent good movies on YouTube. Hubby’s old phone with the Google Play app was handed to Tice last Christmas. We allow them Super Book times, Messenger Kids with cousins and friends and War Robots.” she added.
“He got some spanking because he downloaded more games without asking permission. When asked after, he reasoned that the old games were too easy for him and he thought all the downloads were free. He cried a lot after we talked about it and forgave him. He was very sorry (and was too cute with those irresistible eyes). We explained that they are worth MORE THAN all the money in the world but following rules is also a good life skill to abide.”
At the end of her post, she updated. “Turned out that our little Geek actually spent a total of P100k and not P40k! Request for refund was filed but not showing on our accounts yet.”
“As parents, we discipline to correct the mistake but NOT to equal our affection for our kids to the value of money or anything in this world.” Julmar quoted.
