Another teacher caught the attention of the netizens after she was caught on camera swimming to pass through the other side of the river just to bring learning materials to her students.

The teacher swimming the river is identified as Teacher Moises Palomo who did her best to help student during the pandemic crisis. She went through the river with water on her neck level height just to distribute module to her student who lives on the other side of the river.

According to teacher Moises there are many students who can’t access the internet in their place at Tandang, Surigao del Sur the reason that she and some other teachers are doing their own initiative how they can send learning materials for their students.

In the full text written on the post, the teacher said…

“Ngayong may tinatahak tayong pandemya, parang ang sarap tumulong na kung saan ‘yung mga bata makikita mo sa kanila na nagpapasalamat sila,” teacher Moises said.

“Papunta kasi kami sa ilog noon. Nu’ng pagdaan namin ng tulay, nalaglag ‘yung kawayan na gagamitin mo para makatawid. Tapos na-out of balance ako. Nagkalaglag na ‘yung mga papel, ‘yung learning materials. Lumambitin ako nun kasi gusto kong abutin. Feeling ko kayang abutin kasi mataas ‘yung tubig nu’n.

Pero nalaglag na ako. Pinipilit kong kunin ‘yung module kasi nasasayangan ako. Sa panahon kasi ngayon, iniingatan namin kahit used bond paper. Gusto kasi namin, makarating ito sa bawat bata.

However, teacher Moises admitted that she was also hurt after learning that there are netizens expressed negative comment of what she was doing, claiming that she was doing it in order to earn popularity in the social media.

“Nasaktan ako sa comment kasi parang ginagawa naming ‘to hindi for fame,” she said.
