National Telecommunications And Commission (NTC) enforcers ABS-CBN to stop operation and recalls its channels and radio frequencies.

Based of NTC Administrative Order 2020-008 the network is prohibited to operate due to its expired franchise, it is recalled that the Congress denies the network franchise renewal.

Based on the Admin Order the 75 channels , Channel 2 in national TV, 630 in AM radio and 10 terrestrial television broadcasting stations aired using ABS-CBN black box.

NTC revealed that all petition for reconsideration for applications of the network had been disapproved.

According to NTC Deputy Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba, all the frequencies is owned by the government because it is only one that is existing in the whole country.

The government does not disclose yet what will happen to those blank frequencies but some say that will open this for bidding and allow other media network to use this to operate their own radio channel.

It seems the current administration is doing their best to stop ABS-CBN to broadcast with legal basis.
