Mike Defensor, the “Anakalusugan Party List” Representative received death threat of his 4-year-old daughter Juliana.

The online bashing today is getting worse and worse as the time goes by. It comes to point that attackers nowadays are using their keyboard to bully and intimidate the subject target without knowing the limit even minors become the victim. Just like Anakalusugan Representative Mike Defensor is one of the victim of this modern threat.

The lawmaker, Mike Defensor posted a prayer video of his 4-year-old daughter who later become the subject of threat. In the comment section appeared the threat of his family involving his daughter Juliana. The death threat reads “Papatayin ko anak mo gago.”

According to the netizens point of view, one of the cited possibilities of the death threat of Mike Defensor’s family is his involvement of voting to junk the franchise renewal of the ABS-CBN which resulted thousands of employees losing their job while the country is facing the COVID-19 crisis.

On the Twitter post of the Congressman, he wrote back indicating that he can accept anything what they can say directly to him but threating the innocence’s life is something unacceptable to him.

“You can criticize me and even curse me and I can take it. But when you threaten to kill my 4 yr old child Juliana you have gone beyond the limit,” the Congressman wrote.

The congressman also added that he will not let this pass without punishing the concerned person making trouble to his family.

Friends and supporters of the Congressman expressed reaction following after the post.

It sends out a very clear message…pati bata dinadamay. Ibang klaseng pag iisip meron sila.

This shouldn’t just pass by. This is a serious threat to Mike’s family.

That’s foul and unfair. Limit the criticisms to the issues alone please. There’s no reason why the attacks should be personal.
