Bacolod City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia made an appeal to retain the Modified General Community Quarantine “MGCQ” amid rumors of the possible GCQ in the city.
In the Facebook page of the City Mayor, Leonardia wrote his message of appeal to retain MGCQ with regards to the lower cases of COVID-19 in the city.
Full text of Mayor Bing in Facebook:
“We would like Bacolod to be retained under MGCQ (Modified General Community Quarantine) kasi we got some information – although not validated – that ibabalik kami sa GCQ (General Community Quarantine), which we think will not be appropriate status for us kasi ang aming cases in Bacolod are just 26, and in fact that 62 is practically 80 percent of it are LSIs and OFWs.”
Similar report also published in the Facebook page of Radyo Bandera Bacolod stating that IATF National approved the appeal of Mayor Bing Leonardia to retain MGCQ in the city.
The Bacolodnon netizen expressed thankfulness after learning that the request of the Mayor for Bacolod City to retain the MGCQ status in the city was approved by the IATF National.
