As of the update, COVID-19 cases here in the Philippines are still increasing. A hospital in Iloilo is currently under lockdown since 7pm last night, June 28. Everyone, including the medical frontliners, are not allowed to go out of the hospital.
According to Regional IATF Spokesperson Atty. Roy Villa, six of their doctors were tested positive for the COVID-19.
Mayor Jerry Treñas announced that he and the Regional IATF will be assessing what is the best that they could possibly do.
“In the meantime, contact tracing, swab test – I instructed our CHO to provide rapid test kits to all hospitals- all their personnel should be tested and swabbed. Turn around time for PCR test is 8 to 10 days – rapid tests give us time to immediately isolate those who will turn positive.” Treñas stated.
