Based on the report, the World Health Organization has previously expressed concern to PH over the increasing number of healthcare workers contracting COVID-19. That was the time when there was still a visible shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Currently, out of the 2,606 cases of COVID-19 involving healthcare workers, 1,172 are active cases. Two (2) patients are showing severe symptoms while 952 have mild signs of the disease. There are 218 healthcare staff who are showing no symptoms at all.
The Government advised the public to cooperate and do not be hard-headed because you are not helping but an additional problem, please stay on your respective houses and maintain a healthy body to fight the disease.
Now the cure or antibody is not yet discovered and experts predict this will be available the next year 2021, which is alarming.
