Robin Padilla answers accusations from older sibling, BB Gandanghari, for not checking up on her even when she was a subject of death hoax last April 2020.

BB Gandanghari was reported to be dead and went viral on Facebook with a headline of “BB Gandang Hari o Rustom Padilla Natagpunag Patay Sa Kanyang Apartment.” The surname was misspelled while the word “Natagpunag” was supposed to be “Natagpuang.”

It can be seen in the picture that the anchorwoman is Vicky Morales together with the logo of GMA and 24 Oras. BB’ followers were alarmed and checked is she was okay.

After that, BB went live on Instagram, assuring her followers that she is doing fine. “Yes, I am okay. I know you all got worried. I appreciate all the comments, yung mga nag-DM just to make sure I’m okay. Yes I’m okay… in the grace of our Lord.”

However, despite the horrible situation she was in, there was still no message coming from her family.

“What’s really amazing—and I’m not saying this to spite anyone, honestly. But yun ang question sa mind ko: Aren’t these the reasons why you call family abroad? To make sure…” she said in her Instagram live.

“Yun ang naapektuhan ako. Hindi ako nagdadrama, pero sinasabi ko, merong automatic effect yun, e. You would kinda think… Di ba mapapaisip ka… ‘Wow, naibalita na akong patay, walang DM.’ Paano nga? What if?” she added. BB is currently living in Los Angeles, California alone. “Kung may mangyari sa akin dito, walang makakaalam.”

“Again, I’m not saying they have to care. This is coming from my perspective.

“Coming from a person na ang akala niya meron siyang pinanggalingan. Hindi ko na nga sinasabing pamilya, e. Pinanggalingan na lang.” BB said with a hint longing from her family.

“So, I don’t know. That’s why I’m praying. Kasi yun ang mas nakakasakit sa akin ngayon, truthfully.

“But looking at it—just to appease me honestly—baka they have a strong feeling na fake news that’s why nobody even cared.

“Malungkot yun, kasi life and death na yun.”

“Ang dami napapa-realize nitong mga negative na nangyayari na ito, at a point na everything is uncertain, at a point when everyone is insecure.” BB stated.

Robin Padilla, her brother, finally answered BB Gandanghari’s thoughts through a video message together with his wife, Mariel Rodriguez. 

“BB, tigilan mo na iyang katatampo,” Robin said.

“Mahal ka namin.

“Marami lang nangyari sa pamilya natin nang pumasok ang 2020.” he said as he tries to console BB Gandanghari.

“Ako, nagkaroon ako ng matinding injury sa likod ko. Matagal din akong nahimlay… Isang buwan din akong nahimlay sa ospital.

“Dun na ako nag-New Year. Lumabas ako, parang last week na ng January.

“Tapos si Mama Eva naman, nadulas. Si Mama naman ang na-bedridden ng dalawang buwan.

“Napakadami pong nangyari sa 2020.”

He explained that because of the happenings lately in their family, this became a hindrance and eventually lost their communication with each other. Robin is still hoping that he and BB will soon fix their problems.
