Malacañang Palace release official statement confirming that President Rodgrigo Duterte accepted resignation of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary Eliseo Rio, Jr.
To become effective in decision making, the Chief Executive has to delegate other responsibilities to some other trustworthy and capable individual to handle critical issues in the government concern that the President may also concentrate to address major issues.
But it is also in the hand of the President the power to terminate designated individual from their respective offices once found out they’re not fit to the job or those who are involved in corruption.
On the other hand, some designated officials show performance beyond compare until they end their terms of duty that the administration are so grateful with them. One among the few to mention is DICT Undersecretary Eliseo Rio, Jr.
However, President Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed on his statement that President Rodrigo Duterte accepted the resignation of Rio. According to ABS-CBN News, it was in the month of February Rio inform to leave the office.
Rio is a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer. He finished the ECE Board Exams in 1971 and rank the top 4. His golden age of 75-year-old is one of the reasons to decide leaving the post as well as some other untold complications in the department.
The Palace expressed thankfulness to Rio as a man of good example and extended best wishes for his decision to take a good comfort at home.
“The Palace thanks Usec. Rio for his invaluable services to the nation and we wish him well in all his future endeavors,” the Presidential Spokesman expressed to DZMM.
