People usually think that being a celebrity means that their lives are in a cloud nine. People think that they probably have everything they could ever wish for since they earn much money and can travel anywhere they want.
However, Nadine stated that celebrities like her don’t usually get ‘everything’. Most of us tend to forget that they are humans as well and that they experience hardship and shortcomings too. They strive hard to work and gain much money and experience.
Based on a report from PEP, she revealed that there are a lot of things in her life that she wish are different. “We don’t have everything.”
“People might think, ‘Their life is good. They have everything.’ We don’t.
“That’s what I want people to know, and understand, and remember.
“We don’t have everything.”
“A lot of things in my life that happened that I wish never happened.”
“Kasi they always bring [up] that our life is so glamorous, walang problema, it’s so easy.”
Among all things she went through, there are only two things that she labeled as her biggest challenge. The death of her younger brother in 2017 and his recent breakup with James Reid.
“I experienced that when my brother died. Every day, I did Showtime, and it was so hard. I had to put a happy face, a smiling face on… But deep down, I was breaking because of what happened,” the actress said.
One thing she learned in the industry is that she should be “bulletproof.”
“Being in this industry, I grew so much and I learned how to be bulletproof.
“I care about what I think, about myself. I also don’t wanna act like I’m perfect.”
She also said that when she makes mistakes, she learns from it. Nadine knows that she is not a bad person and she will never try to hurt others.
“It just doesn’t feel right if you do.
“I will never wish ill on other people.
“That’s why I don’t understand, like, why there are a lot of people who don’t like me, like, there are a lot of people who say a lot of bad stuff about me.”
At the end, she said that the only thing that matters to her is her family and her friends. “It’s not what other people think about you, it’s what you think about yourself.”
