Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed class opening on August 24, 2020.
In a video interview with Erwin Tulfo in one of the episode of “Tutok Tulfo,” Roque explained that the opening of classes this coming August 24, 2020 will continue. He said that the Department of Education (DepEd) is to implement “blended learning” using the social media platform instruction via internet, television and radio broadcast.
Roque also clarifies that there is no face-to-face classroom encounter classes while there is quarantine in the country regardless of Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the class opening includes the public schools and private schools in all levels from grade schools to tertiary levels.
